An Introduction
|
OAZOANE is a Nation level voluntary, development organization of grass root groups to initiate, support and strengthen the community groups in their efforts to solve the micro level problems through community evolved community intended and community propelled actions. It was founded by the band of committed and educated youths bearing the burden of rural masses.
The promoters of this Organization were inspired by the Grassroots realities, dying battle of poor masses, their exploitation, poverty, disease and the life long misery prevalent in rural India . They had decided to work with masses in bearing the burden of the poor and lifting them out of the poverty and other evils of the life in the society. |

Visions and Missions
| The core vision of the OAZOANE is to increasing social demands of the people, active involvement of the clientele groups dovetailing of resources at the grassroots level, forging strong community expressions increasing community development. Generating grassroots movement
for total transformation to alter the unjust social system is
the core of its mission. It also adheres to the principle of
true grass root democracy in planning, administration and people's
control in all matters of villages. |

The emerging community leadership, networking Self Help Movement
at the grass root level, increased rapport with support groups,
rising of skill and Empowerment of our masses and creation of
community forces, Building community competence and community
Self-Help skills are to be accelerated for an equitable, social,
economical, cultural and human development are the core missions
of the organization. OAZOANE is an organization for protect
and promote the interest of the people particularly of the poor.
Initiation, consolidation and serving people is the prime urge
of OAZOANE. |
Project area and Participants
At present OAZOANE is operating its projects and Programme in the blocks of Pudukkottai districts of Tamilnadu and Bamboo Flat of South Andaman. During its earlier phase it had confined its activities only few villages and there after it expand based its effort to other blocks to meet with the demands from other grassroots groups in this respective regions. Presently OAZOANE is working with 2 district, 8 blocks, 324 Panchayats and 2132 villages and hamlets.

Predominantly, OAZOANE is working with poor, who are living mostly in poor Condition; poorest among the poor, downtrodden belongs to the SC/ST/BC and other community such fishermen, Gypsy, Salt Workers, and reaching the un reached. Its clientele group in each region has peculiar socio cultural traits. Based on their needs and requirement, OAZOANE is sincerely taking all the effort to solve their micro and macro level problems |
