Fish culture is one of the remunerative activities for the villagers and Self Help Groups members in the project areas. In order to popularize these activities in rural areas, a series of training on freshwater fingerlings cultivation are in progress among the village people, youths, and active members of Self Help Groups in the project areas. There are 10 such trainings were already conducted and more than 500 people trained under these activities. Techniques in cultivation, management aspects, and marketing aspects were taught during the training programs.
